It’s been a while i haven’t updated this blog in english….. Here are the latest news.
Slovakia is a paradise to ride...but I was there in summer and let me tell you that it was really hot and moskitos were surrounding us night and days! Millions of them, all the time! It became a nightmare for the three of us. We became all very tired and Gitan made an abcess under one foot. It was time for us to stop and make a break! Some family problems also made me decide to go home and make a winter break.
We spent winter in Switzerland. I wrote my first book ( only in french sorry :-P ) and found a new
horse to join the team. Well, let’s say a pony ! AMIRAL, a camargue X appaloosa pony, 1m42 ! He has been Gitan’s new companion since january now and they get on very well together. In the same time i met someone who wanted to join us. Jean-Marc doesn’t know much about horses and we decided to start this trip on foot and pack the horses.
On the 13th of March 2010, we will drive the horses to Italy, in order to avoid the alps in winter, as we dont want to wait longer here. Our long walk to the East will start from there. The plan is to cross north italy, slovenia, croatia, hungary, romania, bulgaria and turkey.
Still going with barehoof horses and it's working :-)
